Rock on!

Clean up is all that's left to do of the rock work.
Fantastic work! :D

The blue flagstone, on the walkway & porch, came from Tennessee.
The rock caps, steps & rock for walls came from Indiana.

Those of us who have traveled down I-65 through Kentucky would have seen the
miles & miles of stone walls. We were told that they were "slave walls"
but didn't know the history behind them.

The history behind them...
When the Irish came to settle in Kentucky,
hundreds of yrs ago, the Irish taught their slaves how to build these walls.
Today's Kentucky owners of these Irish walls had some repairs that needed done
& no one who knew how to rebuild them. A few years ago Kentucky had 5 Irish men
flown over to teach American's the art of building these wonderful stone walls.
Below is a short sample of those mortar-less Irish rock walls.
I love 'em! :D
