The end of installing siding.  June 11, 2012 was the day he installed the last piece of siding on the dormer.  Yaaaayyy!  He did a fabulous job installing it and it looks great!  The shutters will probably be installed this coming weekend.  Stay tuned!  :D

We'll be moving back inside to finish the front rooms after the shutters are installed to finish the fireplace, installing & finishing hardwood flooring, painting & moving the furniture back into place.  I can hardly wait!

I decided to replace the side steps (which were not in the best shape anyway) to match the front steps.  Once again, Joe Dawson, did a great job!  They're much more comfortable to use now.

One of these days I'll put down stepping stones from the side steps to the back patio...when I find some that really excite me.

The center short wall, in front of the doors, are gone. The drywall patchwork is completed, primer on all walls & ceiling has been painted. The fireplace is in it's place & all of the staining/varnishing of woodwork is about to be done.........again! (long story, nevermind)

Tan Brown Granite tile is being placed around the fireplace..

Interior front and side doors have been stained and varnished.

There's still plenty to be done outside but with autumn here & winter approaching we've decided to continue the outside work next spring.

It's time to go inside & finish the living & dining rooms. That will probably take all winter to finish.

Tip:  I came across this today.  "Use a 5-10-10 fertilizer scattered thickly before you lay the sod. Sod operations do this to many new commercial apps...and plenty of water especially the first 48 hours."  I'm going to try this!
